Just moved into a house which has been extended.
The loft, however is quite small and only has access to its original dimensions.
The brick and breezeblock are still at the far end of the loft.
The guy I bought the house from said I could just knock through to the other side to gain access to the new loft space in the extension.

I`d like to do this as I have no way of knowing if its properly insulated, and would also like the extra space for my clutter.

Is it safe to do?
Is any of it likely to be holding the roof up?
Can provide pics if needed.

Barry to be absolutely sure I would contact a structural engineer and have calculation done on it.
You could upload pictures it may help, but it would be hard to know for defo what load this wall is carrying. It could well be that the roof of the new extension is resting and being supported over this wall, there may be structures and supports or methods in place that mean the wall is not needed but for absolute confirmation contact an SE.
