We want to replace a vestibule door and are struggling to find a door tall enough.

One of the diy sheds have one that is wide enough but c. 10cm too short in height.

Is it acceptable to extend it by this much? If so, I assume it would be better to have the 10cm split across the top and bottom of the door, ie a 5cm strip at either end.

Whats the best method for fixing?

the existing door is 2085 high by 830 wide

found one off the shelve at 1981 high by 838 wide so it would just be the height that I need to increase.

The issue is that we want a panelled door but with the upper half glazed

I am assuming this to be an imperial door 6' 8" x 34" (dressed) in which case a lot of the builders merchants will have them...pinenot :)

thanks, the house if from c. 1900 so the door opening is an odd size.

will try a couple of my local merchants for the right size door.

Just look for imperial doors, you can also of course look at salvaged doors if you have such a yard nearby...pinenot :)
