Hey! Hoping people can help. My husband and I are interested in a house that looks to be perfect for extending. The garden isn't huge so we would prefer to not impact the back garden too much by doing a rear extension. The side has a lot of space and I wanted to explore the option of knocking down the existing garage, building a 2 storey extension and then rebuilding a garage where the current side/gates are (please see images). I can see from the pictures that the staircase goes over the current garage, does this make doing this type of extension either impossible or incredibly expensive? Any other options to maximise space, minimise impact on garden most welcome!
