extension

hi everyone

just i bit of advice please
i have an existing extension housing the kitchen and bathroom, it has a sloping slate roof and 9 inch walls ,i was just wondering whether it is possible to remove roof etc and build up on the existing walls to make bathroom and another bedroom upstares

Probably not, seeing as it's solid walls that suggests its prolly fairly old and that the foundations would probably be inadequate. That's the first thing to investigate, what the foundations are ....
