Been asked to do a small job, it's the bottom 4 or 5 bricks from the floor level to the bellcast of the render that requires painting, which is simple enough. However on closer inspection the bricks are in bad shape and the face of them has split and cracked so it will look terrible when painted.
What would be the best way around this? Render it but then it would be touching the ground. It is currently painted now but the paint is flakey hence the initial work.
