Exterior rendering

Can anyone advise me with the knack to exterior rendering. have just stuck small extension on rear of house and need to hide the bad brickwork.

this 'knack' your talking about. would it be the same 'knack' that proper plasterers get after 5yrs in the trade.

external rendering can be tricky at best. there are differing mixes and it can be a bu***r to apply. there are lots of little techniques, regards wetting the wall, poly floating, derby levelling, sponge finishing.

are you sure you're not better off paying a pro' who may already have the knack.

Fair enough, i believe you are right. still hardly DIY is it. Although i was led to believe that DIY could also stand for don't involve yourself.
