External Light From Ring Main

Hi All,

Can I connect an external security light to the ring main ? There is a handy double socket I could run a spur from ? AM thinking a switched, fused spur, cable straight through to external light ?

You can providing the socket is not already a spur, unless it's a fused spur.
Any cable buried within wall would likely require RCD protection.
Cables to run in permitted safe zones.
