External sealant around windows / doors

Hi,

The sealant around my door (and the windows at the back) is rather poor.
You can see from a small section on the door there are gaps and it hasn't been smoothed down properly.



What can I do? Is it worth trying to go over the existing stuff with some more, or does it need to be removed and done again? Can it even be removed without damaging the brickwork?

Peel it off and start again, personally i'd seal it in brown and use masking tape on the frame leaving about an 1/8" of frame showing, use low modulus neutral cure silicone as it dries softer and has more flex so doesn't pull away when it shrinks
