I've recently had the boiler removed from kitchen to garage. The bolier in the kitchen was vented through the external wall. The removal of the boiler flue has left me with a 200mm diameter hole to be filled on the outside. I was intending blocking the hole off with glass wool and fixing an external vent ,wall plate or grille to the outside wall. However I am finding it extremely difficult to find a vent that's 200mm in diameter.

Any ideas where I could source this? Also, how easy would it be for a brickie to do a patch up ( in a tidy manner!)

Cheers

Screwfix, and others, do a 229mm square vent which may help.

Depends on the existing finish how noticable a patch would be (and how tidy the brickie is :) )

For that size you normally have to use a Cover plates

About a couple of hour for me, I would do build the hole slightly smaller and fit an hit/miss vent which is handy for ventilation in the kitchen but the choice is yours

Ahh, just found one here 9"x9" (230mm x230mm) difference colour available

Edit: damn, denso13 beat me to it ;)
