Okay having decided on a velux for my lean-to roof, and having chosen type, size and flashing kit suitable for my tiles, I'm wondering what else I might need for install time to save a desparate trip to try and find stuff over a bank holiday weekend.
I know I'll need timber for framing and doubling rafters, and battening for the velux to sit on, is there anything else thats essential?
For instance do I need extra felt/membrane or do the flaps created by the opening do the job along with the flashing kit?
Oh and on the subject of doubling rafters is there a prefered method of joining them? Nails, screws, bolts & those spiky washer things whose name escapes me.
Span is only just over 6ft, rafters curretly 4x2, approx 12" apart.
Cheers
