As mentioned in early post l have a ceiling mounted fan but have a ducting problem also. The fan l have brought is about one/eighth of a inch wider in diameter and will not fit into the ceiling ducting.l cannot remove it has this is in flats ,and the ducting bends a few inchs inchs inside the ceiling and then connects with the rest of the ventilation system.l,m just a fraction to wide in diameter with this new fan,any ideas.

Cut slits in it and it should then fit over, you might need to cable tie or gaffer tape it onto the body of the fan though..

The fan housing fits inside the ducting and the housing cannot be cut as the base which goes into the ducting has a fan shape in the diameter base.
