I want to fit an f.c.u. in a bathroom for a boiler. I will insure that it is more than 600mm from the sink which is nearby. The house will have a new c.c.u. so all circuits will be rcd protected.
Is there anything I am forgetting regarding fitting this f.c.u. as local BC is inspecting my work ?
thanks, Geoarge

The FCU should be suitable for the location in which it is being installed and IP rated accordingly. Although it is wise to have the accessories >600mm from the basin, the requirements stipulate distances from the zones of shower trays and bath basins.
If notification to BC has been made they will expect, the cable to be routed within the permitted safe zones if buried in wall <50mm. Also they will expect some test results to prove the circuit is safe and complies to the relevant standards.
The other concern would be the type and location of the equipment being connected to the FCU.
