Fan Fault

Recently my desktop fan's been a bit noisy. Yesterday when I started up after a shutdown I got the message

"CPU fan temperature error! Press F1 to continue"

I pressed F1 and it all seems fine.

What's up doc?

Open the case, and make sure there is no ribbon cables, etc stuck in the CPU fan.

I wouldnt be running your PC if the CPU fan isnt working, it will destroy it!

If there is nothing stuck in the fan, and its running slow and noisly, the bearing is probably seizing. Get a new fan

While you're in there make sure that the heatsink and fan are free from dust etc..

Thanks guys. Its still on warranty so I'm taking it straight back.
