fan isolator switch

When fitting an inline extractor fan in loft space does the isolator switch have to be fitted close to the fan or can it be fitted on the outside of the toilet underneath.

I usually fit them above the light switch, inline with the top of the door casing since the switch is normally the place to pick the power up from. When you start putting switches in bathrooms youll need to check the zones for the location.
