Hi,

I have recently noticed that my hot water is getting hotter than the cylinder thermostat is set to (60 deg. C.) & the stat is working properly.
Even if the hot water is turned off at the controller it heats up several degrees.
I suspect that the 3 port motorized valve is letting by when the central heating is operating.
Would this be because the motor is worn, not moving the valve over fully
& so needs replacing?
Or that the whole valve body is worn & needs replacing?
It is a Danfoss valve.

Many thanks

I would say that in this case you would need to replace the complete valve and head.
