Faulty Mx Shower

The water flows when turned on however there is no hot water coming through. There's a little orange light which indicates power and provides hot water for seconds then the light cuts out and it runs cold again.

Is it time to replace the unit or might it be problem with the connection?

It might be a solonoid valve failed. Simple thing to do is to turn power off and remove cover for a peek inside looking for signs of a black burnt connection area but beware of touching anything.
