faulty tap

Help please, i put hot water tap on in bath a little water came out then went off all other taps in house work fine what could it be .

To service the tap: isolate it from the supply, remove handle, undo headwork, examine washer, replace if possible, cut seat if possible/necessary, lubricate, reassemble.
