We are in the process of converting a small bedroom into an ensuite to another bedroom. There is a socket which obviously has to be removed, but I have a small query. I wish to have an electric towel rail which will need an FCU to supply it. I intended for this to be re-sited outside the bathroom, as I din't think they would be allowed inside it. However, I have stayed in two hotels recently (in the UK - not abroad where sockets are always sited next to the sinks!) which have both had FCUs in the bathrooms supplying towel rails. Is this acceptable or not, as it would certainly make things easier? Any help appreciated! Thanks.

Cheers Adam,
Looks like it's a no-no then. Location of the current socket is 550mm from edge of shower tray, so I guess that makes it Zone 2.
Reckon it's back to fitting the FCU outside the bathroom and Ill put a flex outlet to supply the towel rail (I assume this will be OK?).
