Hi we have 4 or 5 mature conifers that we keep trimmed back each year to around 15ft or so. The leafy growth on these starts around 5/6 ft high so we can see the fence behind these trees on the first 5/6 ft.
What would be ideal to grow in pretty much predominate shade that would grow up and hide some of the fencing (and holes from neigbours kids balls!).
Was thinking of some golden bamboo which we could eventually replace the conifers with maybe but note how much shade it will cope with?
Soil is clay mainly if that is relevant
Thanks
