Hi folks
Just a quick few questions.
The Fernox Boiler Buddy and the Magnaclean do the same job - they remove iron particles due to corrosion from the hot water central heating as it passes back to the boiler via RETURN pipe (?).
1) Is one filter easier to install than the other?
2) Is one filter easier to clean than the other?
3) Is one filter better than the other?
Price seems to be comparable, so that is not an issue here.
Looking at the documantation, the Fernox seems to be more "fiddly" to dissassemble/clean/re-assemble. Is this a correct point of view in practice?
Thanks in advance,
One further question. BG fit Magnaclean filters but not Fernox Boiler Buddies. When I rang BG Homecare to see if they would accept a system with one in, they hadn't heard of them.
Would having a Fernox filter be problematic if I wanted to maintain my Homecare agreement after the fitting of a new boiler & filter?
Dave
