I have recently moved into a house with the above. Its been great up until this VERY cold snap. Now I find the desired temperature of 70C is taking all day to be achieved. What should the boiler temperature (system) be set at please?

Desired temp 70 deg C I think you mean 20 deg C. just turn your thermostat on boiler to Max.
Ha ha - I knew I'd done that as soon as I signed off.
Max temp will be about 85 degrees where its only been set at 70 - does that sound reasonable?
