fiat cinquecento won't start

Hi, im female n have no idea of technical cars stuff so can i have advice in simple terms please.
I have a fiat cinq 1995 that is turning over but won't start. The key code light comes on when i am trying to start it, which apparently means it's down to my immobiliser.
Has anyone got any ideas, i would be very grateful. tnx

if it was the immob, i doubt it would even turn over. could be lack of fuel... have you let the tank run empty or near empty recently? check the fuel filters arent blocked
