Hello, near the bath we've got a strip without tiles that I would like to fill to make it level with the tiled floor. The bath panel is then going to go down to that strip area of filled floor. Some of that filled strip will the be exposed, maybe 12mm wide or so. Won't look beautiful but good enough...

A couple of pictures are attached.

My question: What do I best use to fill that strip? The filling will have a thickness of about 8 mm. It will be exposed to water, and I would like something that ideally doesn't soak up water/mositure. The grouting between the tiles has a grey concrete colour. Would just grouting compound be okay? It goes straight onto the concrete floor, and is supposed not to come off.

Thank you for any opinions!
