I am looking at some doors and (mostly) frames that have been knocked and scraped by a motorised wheelchair, exposing the wood fibres in places.

What would be a good way to fill before redecorating? Some are 6mm deep or so. The house is victorian so the architrave is deep and heavily moulded and it would not be reasonable to pull it off and replace.

Some doors also have dog-scratches that have gone through the paint.

The wheelchair is no longer in use so I do not have to allow for future damage.

expoxy resin filler.

On profiles there is always the risk of it being knocked out though.
