Hello,

Currently renovating an old cottage and have recently fitted the patio doors.

They are situated on the external skin of a standard 300mm cavity wall. Right now we have the concrete slab down which only goes as far as the internal skin of the cavity wall.
This means the doors are currently hanging in mid air with a 150mm gap from the underneath of the threshold to the trench block.

I am looking to lay the 100mm cellotex on the concrete slab followed by 50mm of liquid screed soon but I’m unsure what I should do with the massive gap I have left?

The screed and cellotex is only going to go as far as the inside edge of the door which means thegap between the trench block and threshold will still be there. I have currently just packed the door up with a load of wood to stop it hanging and twisting.
Any help would be great!

Cheers
