Filling 4 inch hole in cavity wall

My new extractor hood won't fit with existing hole so I have to have new hole drilled & existing one filled in. How best to do it to ensure concrete does'nt fall into cavity & cause probs? The walls are block built.

One option you have would be to drill the new hole for your extractor then use the core from that one to plug up the old one, Woooo Hoooo i beat Noseall to one, Yiopppppeeeeeee
