Just signed up to the forum having read it for many years and collected some great advice along the way.

Got a problem with a gap around a double glazed window installation. Having prepared the whole room for decoration and scrapped out 30 years worth of wallpaper and residual caulk I`m left with a 10mm wide 28mm deep gap around the fitting. The gap is between the decor strip glued to the window frame and the surrounding wall.

The frame is 2.4m x 2m. Any ideas?

Thanks for your reply rjm2k Still trying to work out how to upload photos from my phone.

My only thought was to use a piece of strip wood to almost fill the gap and use sealant to hold it in place. Would that be viable? It's a bedroom window
