I’ve just pulled a load of cable clips out of soft reds which have been there for absolute years, unfortaintly chunks of brick come out leaving unsightly gaps in the bricks, is there a red cement I could use to repair these or a method ???

I always say to people if they feel the need to drill a wall or hammer nails in, do so in the mortar, easier to put cement in than repair bricks.

You can buy FebTone (a dye for mortar in powder form). You can get it in red. I would get a small measure and mix various ratios of sand:cement:febtone. I would do 5 Sand : 1 Cement and then try different quantities of febtone. Make a note which batch is which ratio and let them dry, see which one is a close match to the brick.
