Filling without sanding

Hi
Got some holes in ceiling where plasterboard screws have popped, normally use toupret type powder filler but this is all above a big posh kitchen diner where dust will be difficult, wondered if I could use something else (red devil?) and smooth it without needing to sand? Any tips appreciated

Yes Red Devil will do but I often use car body filler.

Cheers, do you just try and get it perfect first time with the knife? Or sponge it or anything
