Can leaves raked from the garden be compressed to make briquettes for fuel to burn on an open fire ? The fire burns local produced logs and the idea is to suppliment logs with briquettes.
I don't think they burn very well because they do not contain enough carbon. Leaves extract carbon dioxide from the air and convert it into glucose as food for the tree. Burning leaves also produce lots of nasty toxins.
I think you would just be producing a lot of smoke.
