Hi Ive just had a gas fire installed and a chimney breast built and boarded with pink fire rated boards. Ive heard many horror stories of cracking due to heat.
Ive got a plasterer coming tomorrow to skim another wall in the room and wanted some advice from you guys about how you would prevent cracking after skimming the chimney breast? Im guessing scrim tape and multi-finish won't be up to the job?
