Hi all.

I have had a loft conversion shell done and I am finishing everything else off. The upstairs is virtually done and building control are happy with that. I am having trouble with the stairs. I have used pink board where necessary around the stairwell, however I am having trouble because trying to use board underneath the stairs to close in is virtually impossible. I want to use eml with undercoat plaster then finish over top but I don't think building control will accept as she has already said she wants fire board. It is her first loft conversion. Has any one got any ideas to meet her requirements?

It is your building controls officer that is going to sign this off, I would abide by there recommendations or discuss with them a compromise.

I cannot see why mesh and render would be easier than installing PBs?
