Fire protection for RSJ / UB - Quick Question.

Hi,

If a RSJ is fully enclosed in a wall, does it need additional fire protection, or is 12.5mm Plasterboard + skim sufficient, as when a beam is enclosed within a ceiling?

If you mean it's brick/blocked around, then yes that's fine without anything else.

Thanks for the reply, sorry should have said it's a stud wall that encompasses the rsj.
