Hi,

We had the final inspection from building control and they raised 2 main issues. We have a megaflo type system. The cylinder and expansion tank are located under the stairs. Boiler in another room. They said that the cupboard for the cylinder and expansion tank needs to be made from fire rated material! I thought the cylinder is fire rated anyway and it's water storage not some fire source. Is this correct?

Second issue, the house has an internal original window, very small around 600x 200mm with some decorative glass. We did not remove it as it's internal and doesn't need insulation and looks nice. It is between the living room and hallway. They requested a 30min fire resistant certificate. It probably means we need to replace it or block it as how else can we test if it can withstand 30min in a fire?!

Any suggestions/ opinions what we can do?

Thanks very much.
