After a while of use, especially if I open lots of tabs, I'm finding Firefox slows down the loading of websites, to a crawl. This happens, even if I close the unwanted tabs, to get it back to my basic ones. FF 146.0.1 64bit, on Win11 - thought it seems to have always been a problem. The fix, is to simply close FF, and reopen it, which retains my basic tabs still open.

Anyone else, or is it just my system please?

Have you tried a online speed test.
Find a free one online and see if everything is as it should be.

Is your internet speed what the ISP is charging you for?

What happens if you try another browser? Edge or chrome as an example

Nothing else slows down, apart from FF. The whole things slows up, loading of new pages, going back to a previous page, refreshing a page, even the text cursor, whilst typing something into a page, as I'm doing now. The instant fix, is to simply close FF, and reopen it, whereupon it reopens the pages, exactly as they were.

It sounds like a memory leak, perhaps?

Reinstall Firefox .Have you tried that?

Nuke and pave it. Start again.

Surely if you make a Firefox account, it will retain all of your bookmarks etc? That said I would also be reluctant to do a reinstall, I would probably hang in there and wait for Firefox to be updated (which seems to happen every week or so) when the problem will probably be fixed.

In FF 'Settings/Manage bookmarks' you get the option to export and import bookmarks, so you needn't re-create them.
