Looking for some advice please.
I have a fireplace that I intend to put a dog grate in and burn solid fuel. The mortar of the existing bricks is quite crumbly so I intend to repoint where needed. There is also a single brick that needs replacing. The questions is - Do I need to use a particluar mix of mortar, or fire cement to repoint, and do i need a particular type of brick to put back in the chimney - all the rest look like normal house bricks.
