We have opened up fireplace after having found lintel and clearing it across the front to the support. We have now removed the back boiler we found sitting there. My question is can we now remove the rest of the poorly bricked up rubbish inside it back to what I assume will be a builders fireplace? I assume this was put in to reduce the opening for the fitting of the back boiler. We’ve had the chimney swept. Unfortunately we hit a fairly new to the game lad who didn’t know! Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
