Thanks so you would do one notch for all 4 pipes. I was just worried about heat transfer to he cold water pipe
 
Thanks and obliviously run the heating next to each other in the notch then the hot then cold so it furthest away from the heating? I guess you only need to clip the hot and cold pipework?

If you need a notch to take 22mm pipe at what depth would you set a circular saw at to cut the notch say 25mm?
 
If you want to do it properly, and there is sufficient space, then I think the answer is obvious.

Most people dont like drinking lukewarm water.

Always the legionella risk too but I think this is a bit overstated in a typical domestic application.
 
one notch for all four ,as said wrap some felt to stop noise,check regs on notch position depth etc
So one notch for all is acceptable, cold furthest from heating and hot pipe? prefer plastic were this is not an issue
