Ello All.. i am new to this forum..

planning to boost coral growth in my fish tank... ( Experiment! )
so.. just wondering is it safe to run 6 x 400w Metal halides on a single 13a socket?

thanks..

2400 / 230 = 10.4

So yes.
Is the circuit protected by an RCD?
Could be a good idea.

cool.. thanks..
( ps.. there will be a cooling fan and few led strips.. wont be big enough to come in to count would they? )

yes.. RCD protected

Must be a flipping huge fish tank to be needing 2.4kw of metal halide lighting

Startup current may pose a problem if they're all switched together?

Just 900L.. But deep though.. Already powerd by 250s but corals showing signs of Starvation. Hence the high power lighting to see if I could Match the sun.. ( doing a research on mh lighting now.. Thanks for the info)
