Hi,

First time poster here. I have a baxi back boiler (been going great for the years we've been at the house), however the time has come to fit a shower rather than the bath taps!

We had a guy come around and suggested we'd need to upgrade the electrics to have an electric shower fitted plus the expected jobs came in around 2k.

Would you suggest going all out and getting a combi and a mains fed shower? Obviously more expensive job but probably worth it long term?

Cheers

Alex

Good shout! plumbing novice here but what sort of job is that in terms of cost and pipe work etc. The hot w tank is in second bedroom.

In this case I would consider a pumped digital shower such as the Aqualisa Quartz or Visage. Piping is generally straightforward and although the showers themselves are expensive the whole job may not be too costly. Certainly less than 2K
