Hi there. Trying to fit external 2gang switch - 1 to operate outside lights and other switch to send power to outside 2gang socket. Have the socket wired but the switch wiring is driving me mad!

I have 3-core (L/N/E) coming into it and 3-core going to 2gang socket and 2core going to outside lights but can't figure out what goes where?? Can anyone help me please? Huge thanks in advance

simple answer. NO

you can not do as you propose, since socket rating will be higher than that of switch, (prorbaly) what is fuse is protecting the light?

I suggest you get some one in to do the job properly and safley. we would still like to see you post again

Thanks for the quick response - Any wonder I couldn't figure it out if it can't be done! Big re-think required!! Ta.

It could be done easily, but wouldn't be safe having the socket on the lighting circuit.

it can be done its easy. but you should not have a socket outside on a lighting cct, or a lights on socket cct
