Hello people, just moved into a new house and the previous owner managed to rip out the shower room but never got round to fitting a new one!

Ive brought a 10.5Kw Shower, there is some thick wiring there, not sure of the size at this stage. Can anyone tell me what size wiring and fuses etc im going to need to install this shower?

Many Thanks

the wire will need 2 be 10mm. 6mm is too small. easy way 2 tell the difference between 6 and 10 is 6mm has a solid earth and 10mm has a stranded earth

10.5KW is 45.6A (or 43.75A at 240V) so you will need a 50A MCB (altho u could probably get away with 45A). do u have any RCD protection? i doubt your fuse board will be able to take a 50A fuse so youll prob have to install a seperate shower CU
