I am fitting a ceiling fan light soon, and i just wondered if there is any advice regarding fitting it? I have changed lights and switches before just need a little guidance before i attempt.

Any advice would be really appreciated.

does the fan simply come on with the lights or does it have a seperate cord switch and/or a timer overrun

if it doesn't simply go on and off with the lights it will need an unswitched live. If you have a loop in system this is easy (its the wire that doesn't connect to the bulb normally) but if you just have a single cable coming to the light you may have a problem.

More usefullyyou might look at the drawings of wiring for a fan-light in the reference section. Then you will know what to ask
