Hi all,
I've had a good trawl of the forum but cannot see any specific advice on this. I'm in the process of picking bits for my new kitchen and would like a ceramic undermount sink. Problem is, I'll be fitting it myself and I'm not sure how it's done. The company installing the worktops will only do it if they supply the sink, but the sinks they supply are too expensive for me. I'm thinking of something like this:
http://www.kitchen-appliances-direct.co.uk/default.aspx?view=item&itemid=7948
How are these secured to the worktop? I'd like to have some idea before ordering, so I know whether it's beyond my skill level before I start. I've seen other people talk of using silicone to do fix them to granite worktops - surely this isn't strong enough?! Or can it be secured with screws/clips? I've seen the Franke G-clips - can these be used to secure sinks to wooden worktops? Do I need a supporting shelf in any case?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks
Nick
