Am looking into ways of fitting a mortice lock to a legge & brace door wher the depth will not accomodate - i have heard that there are lock cases available to suit this but having called 2 locksmiths no futher on, can any one advise?

if you cant find the ones mentioned in your previous post, get a good joiner to assemble you a hardwood block that can be bolted to the door.
Or possibly even double the thickness of the stile if that looks better.
