Hi All,

We're replacing our bath and I was looking at a Crosswater instruction manual where it indicates that you need to place and screw to the wall some metal brackets then tile over them. As we've already got a tiled wall is this going to be an issue? If it is then I need to look at another brand.

Cheers

Might be worth using timber battens on the wall instead and maybe see if the bracket can be screwed from the underside to the wall? Failing that different brand

Difficult fitting a bath to a wall that already tiled. The proper fitting of a bath would be, level batons on the wall, especially if it's acrylic, seal the bath to the batons and the wall and seal all around the top edge, fill bath a leave overnight then tile down to the bath and then seal again.

If you are taking the old bath out that already has tiles down to it's edge then really the new bath has to be fitted very precisely back in as it really has to fit in tight under those tiles again so it can all be sealed again properly

Agree that wooden batons on all the walls that the bath touches, is the way to go.
