Trying to replace a hall light, I have coming from the ceiling a live, neutral and earth wire, as well as 2 "extra" live wires joined together which presumably control the landing light which is 2 way. However the new light fitting only has live and neutral wires (plus a connection for the earth). What do I do with the "extra" live wires in this situation please?

Simply connect the extra "live" wires in a 5 or 10 amp connector block and place them out of the way........
