I need to fit a recessed gas meter box, the hole is already there the correct size for the box I have bought, but just has a wooden door/frame.
The gas company will be disconnecting my supply and returning the next day to reconnect into the new box. Currently the gas supply comes up the cavity, which isn't allowed. I'm guessing an oversight during construction in the 70's
How would I go about securing the box into the opening? Would expanding foam work?
