Is there a trick to fitting cornice around kitchen/bedroom units? I always seem to struggle and it ends up a matter of trial and error getting the corners in exactly the right place and with a minimal gap.

The trick is to cut it in exactly the same orientation as when it is fitted.

When you line it up for a cut imagine that it is mounted. Otherwise it is a complete nightmare.

Draw a pencil line on the ceiling and side to the correct width of your cornice then the 2 line that meet on the corner on the ceiling is your cutting point.
