Wanting to fit some approved low voltage IP65 down-lighting in the bathroom and shower cubicle.

As the ceiling is Artexed plasterboard with 25 cm insulation above the membrane and the lamps have a seal against the ceiling.

My question is regarding maintaining the Vapour seal.

Once the Artex stipple is rubbed down for the rubber seals to seal preventing vapour escape.

What else should be done to ensure/maintain the vapour seal around the lamps in the ceiling.

thanks

Because of the ceiling being artexed and will be rubbed smoothed around the seating area of the lamps with their seals.

I was thinking for added sealing preventing any moisture seepage past the seals due to any unevenness against the seals, was to apply a small bead of silicone to the ceiling around the lamp sealing area but covered with clingfilm to prevent contact to the lamp and let the lamps adjust themselves to create a good seal on the cling film covered silicone.

thanks
